Too easy to come across as pretentious.
The concert I was watching was 45min + 15min or so, with a minute long break where the band disappeared sidestage. They came back and played 3 or 4 of their songs that work the best live. Pretty optimal IMO.
I guess I don't mind as much if it's a headliner at a festival or something, but what I don't get is when bands do that on smaller venues. Just refine your setlist and get it done.
Odds are it's late and I've had fun but I want to go home

Next stage is supposed to be Big Climbs, including Alpe du Zwift. I haven't decided whether I want to do that, but set trainer difficulty at maybe 50-75%. Or I might do the 'C' ride, which does the Watopia Mountain Route, which has the "Epic KOM", which is less arduous than the climb I just did, but also adds the Radio Tower climb, which is apparently .7 miles of 13.7 % Yikes. Hmmmmmm.....

a little twitch is ok. If you have problems it will cause the cage to flip when the bad spot passes the jockeys.
Personally I think he may still be having B tension issues, So all this might be related back to his rear derailluer. But it could also be his cable not being seated properly.
Oh the drama.

I messed something up when I put new chain on. Shifted PEFFECTLY in the stand. But on the road was finicky, would not downshift properly, I had to click twice down then one up to shift, which is only a minor annoyance. But chain would also “stutter” under severe load like when standing in hills. So I sat for entire ride. There could be a slightly sticky or twisted link on new chain. So far all I checked was indexing back in stand and of course now works perfectly. I am open to suggestions.
edit: sounds like upshift are off too.

I did Innsbruck tonight, with the Trainer Difficulty set to 100%, so the climb felt... well, pretty much like a 7.4 km climb with a 6% average grade would feel. I'm glad I used the Bianchi, with it's 34x27 low gear. I ended up standing on the pedals pretty much any time the grade went to 10% or higher.
Edit: Now that I think about it. I should look around and see if I have a climbing cassette somewhere. I just realized I'm doing all this with a 53/39 and 25 x12 no wonder I'm grinding all the way up.

If I hit 5 I’ll be happy unless I can find a way to do 40 before work 3x a week. My bigger problem has always been finding time for longer weekend rides on the weekends I have my daughters.

Longer weekend rides became more realistic for me as the daughters got older. Time is on your side. In the meantime be sure to spend time with them now. It passes too quickly.

I had an insight into why my drivetrain is finicky as I woke up early this morning. I could not eyeball the cause until I left for work. But I am pretty sure I know what's wrong.
It's almost too embarrassing to admit, but if you can't admit your bone-headed idiot mechanic moves in here, where CAN you?
Yes, my mechanic is such a moron, he did the all time most AMATEUR move when putting on a new chain.
Chain is on backwards.
I will have to fix it and take it for a test ride to confirm that's the problem, but I am pretty sure that explains the problem.

More drama. Or possibly comedy.

Has anyone ever ridden a Shimano drivetrain with the chain backwards? I am guessing the symptoms I described are typical for that mistake.

I'm sure that it's pretty low since he's recovering from CV19 and doesn't even have the breath or strength to lift. He may have returned to the gym now, but a week ago, he still couldn't. I don't know when his next meet is but I bet that he's way behind on his training program now

Actually, now that I think about it, covid increased my mileage in another way - group rides on Wed are typically in the 40-50 range whereas striking out on my own for 62-100 was not unusual last year.
