Mine is less grand, but didn't cost a grand either.....

The Windsor Profesional was made in Mexico but built with some sort of Columbus tubing (maybe SL) and full Campagnolo Nuovo Record gruppo except for the brakes (Universals). The Carreras were made of "some kind of steel", had middling Japanese components, and generally worse finishing. Your example Carrera Sport has less chrome than earlier Carreras, and might have been made late enough to be of Tange tubing...it it was a very late model it could even have been sourced from Japan, which would be even better made (IMHO), though that forkcrown is not Japanese and that little tricolor decal probably says "hecho in Mexico".
I'd be surprised if anybody pays $900 for that Centurion/Windsor Pro...but funnier things have happened.

1973 Schwinn Paramount Frame and Fork - $375 (Delaware County)

https://philadelphia.craigslist.org/bik/1318684507.html

Up for auction is a 1973 Schwinn Paramount frame and fork (either a P10 or P15 - serial number C7328). It is 61.5 cm from center of BB to top of seatube...with a 105 cm wheelbase. The frame features Campagnolo stays, head set, pump cradle and Nervex lugs. The Flamboyant Red paint shows wear and some touch up, but is still in overall good shape. Frame is in very solid shape...has no dings or dents...

Please email any questions you may have. Thank you.

yeah, mine reads 'made in Mexico' - which, along with the new tires & tubes & fresh tune-up made it interesting to me...though a questionable purchase at $60 even though all I needed to do was put new bar tape on it & it was ready to ride. thanks.

Never heard of Rapallo, but looks nice

https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/bik/1320000873.html

Classic Italian Road Bike -- size 51cm x 52cm - $750 (san jose south)

Date: 2009-08-12, 2:45PM PDT
Reply to: sale-kbnps-1320000873@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

Up for sale is a Classic Italian Road Bike. The original brand name of this bike is Titan, a Swiss brand name which sub-contracted their bikes in Italy. I took the liberty of "rebadging" this particular bike to "Rapallo" -- an Italian boutique brand name for hotels, leather shoes and sandals, and other high-end Italian products. I was lucky to find this set of "Rapallo" bike decals on ebay. I think I bought that last set because I cannot find another set anymore or anywhere else online.

The size is 51cm from center of bottom bracket to top of seat tube. The top tube from center of seat tube to center of head tube is 52cm.

The rear spacing is 126mm. The bottom bracket thread is Italian.

The wheel set is mavic with Shimano 105 hubs. The tire set is Rivendell Rolly Polly 700c x 27.

The front and rear caliper brakes, and the front and rear derailleurs are Shimano Dura Ace.

The two-speed compact crankset is Gossamer FSA. The big chain rin is 50T. Please note that the second inner chain ring is a special one. It is made in France by TA and it has 33 teeth rather than the normal 34 teeth. The cassette is SRAM 8-speed which is reduced to 7-speed [14t ~ 30t] in order to have better clearance in the 126mm rear spacing of the chain stay .

The STI shifter is an 8-speed Shimano SORA that is working as a 7-speed shifter.

The whole of the frame is chromed in gold color and topped with black highlights. Please note the graceful and classic double tapering of the seat stays. Please note the beautiful lugs. The head set is Chris King. The fork is chromed Columbus with lugs that match the head tube lugs.

The price is 750.00 or best offer. The saddle is not included in the sale.

Eff Road Bikes! Viva La Red Wagon! - $15 (Chicago)

Reply to: sale-anaun-1321721923@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

So you wanna be the coolest kid on the block? Well forget those lame fixed gear road bikes & start rolling old school with a little red wagon!

These days it's cool to have a sleek, sexy, fixed and brakeless track or road bike, but check this out! This little baby is sporting a fiery red exterior & has neither, brakes, gears, peddles, a stirring wheel or much less any means to stop you from veering out of control when reaching death defying speeds with your teddy bear on Milwaukee Avenue! How extreme is that!?

Anyway, if you'd like a cheap alternative to a bike, try my red Radio Flyer Wagon. $15

Hmm..is it another Windsor Centurion? I'm not versed enough to tell if those are real Nervex lugs or imitations. I don't see any decal markings or headbadge on the frame.

Scroll up this thread to see the headlugs on the Windsor Carrera.

Yes, would someone kindly buy that for me and store it without use until an undetermined later date when I have the room (and cash) for it? Thank you much...

Trek 57cm/58cm Vintage Road Bike - $225 (East Village)

https://newyork.craigslist.org/mnh/bik/1321739217.html

Awesome, old (early 80s I believe) Trek road bike. In excellent condition. Rides smooth- I'm just too tall for it.

Purple-ish, pink-ish color. Old school logo by the seat tube. Unknown model....

From top of the seat tube to the middle of the bottom bracket it measures just under 23", so it's pretty much a 57cm or a small 58cm.

Everything works, just needs new tubes, and could use some new tires. If necessary I can get some for it.

$225 or best offer.

(Will consider trade for larger bike/frame)
