Fizik shoes
i bought some Giro road shoes that felt good until I road longer rides. They are too narrow and bother the knuckles on the top of my toes.
Im thinking about switching to Fizik carbon soled shoes. Does anybody know if they run wider than Giro?

I can only site my experience with Fizik shoes. They were more narrow than my previous pair.. and the cleat position on the foot is odd. I literally had to put my SPD SL cleat as far back as it could possibly go on them and it's still not great.. but it was too late to return them, so, I've just gotten used to it. Definitely not wide shoes though. Lake makes a lot of nice, wide shoes.

I had a similar experience with Giro Empire shoes... rode them for a few months and was always wondering why my feet never got comfortable until I realized brands actually make shoes that don't smash your toes in.
Picked up a pair of Louis Garneau Boa Strike shoes on sale at Performance Bike and they fit me much better, although I've read in online reviews that even these are not considered wide shoes. To my knowledge, Pearl Izumi makes a wide foot option on a lot of their models. I would recommend purchasing a few pairs from a website like competitivecyclist.com and returning the ones you don't like or that don't fit. (A lot easier/quicker than trying to hit all the local bike shops which typically carry terrible selection)

I don't think the OP is implying a wide foot, rather wanting more vertical room above the toes, or at least a bit confusing as narrow wouldn't hit the knuckles of one's toes.
FYI, Giro has some HV versions of some of its shoes (as in High Volume)

I have moderately high volume feet and often wear a wide shoe and I’m pretty happy with that aspect of Fizik R1s.

A shoe stretcher is a much cheaper option. Especially if you only need a little room.
