Well that's a bummer, but it'll be good to be whole and functional again.

I ripped a ligament partially off my left pinkie in a sailing accident last year and that was unpleasant enough.

The one thing that scares me sailing is being de-gloved. I quit wearing my wedding ring on the boat years ago.
And falling out of the bosun's chair on those rare occasions I go up.

There is an Amazon seller selling a pair of Conti GP5000 clinchers in size 700X32 for $400!
There must be some really stupid people out there.

We have worn silicone rings for the last decade or so because of the boat, the gym, and the bike. We'll put on the bling if we go somewhere fancy, but who goes anywhere anymore?
I cut too many rings off bashed fingers as a lad in white pants to make that mistake.

That's sure the truth. My business meal and entertainment expense is down 90% this year compared to 2019.

Later, however, I was a USPHS commissioned officer for 27 years and had a set of service dress whites and a choker jacket. Maybe I can dig up a pic.

I suffer from vocal Tourette's Syndrome. When I get an earworm, everybody gets to enjoy bits and snatches of it.

Told our kids straight up - we will not pay for a liberal arts degree. (even though both mom and dad have them).

On a club ride a couple years ago, one such jerk was pushing the pace and generally being a show-off a-hole, and a newbie rider I had chatted up with was understandably impressed, and asked me “Does he race??”
My reply: “No, but he thinks he is racing.”
Luckily people like him are fairly rare.

Her major is Film and Media Studies. Unclear how well this will prepare her for the workforce but we are letting her chase her dreams. She is a smart kid so should do OK however she lands. I hope.

Worst case, she moves back in with you!
One of our nephews is pursuing the same. Where does your daughter go to school?

In my experience the real racers are actually quite kind and willing to adjust pace for the group. The few French Showers I know are “wannabe racers” who think they are hot ***** but are not.

As for the bribe, it might not have been that bad to share a cell with Lori Laughlin for a spell.
Our daughter received her bachelor ('18) and masters ('19) in accounting from the McCombs business school at UT (the real UT - Texas). She is now a CPA with Deloitte. Our son will receive his bachelors in engineering in May from Texas A&M, and plans to pursue a masters in structural engineering. We count our blessings every day and are just hoping that they will take good care of us as we age.
