Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

A pair or Mavic Pro Road shoes that sort of match my bike (how does one put photos up? My efforts fall a little short).

I sent them mine a while back. It only took 10 days although I used priority mail or whatever it was. Weighing at 2oz, it only cost $5 or something like that to ship.

Bought a few small things lately.

Sugoi arm coolers: https://www.sugoi.com/usa/arm-cooler.html

Camelbak podium chill (wife's bike) and big chill (my bike) bottles. You know what these are, and if you don't, you need some ASAP due to the valve and that they keep your liquids cool for ~2 hrs at 90 degrees.

Best purchases recently were tires for both of our road bikes. She got Michelin Pro4 Endurance, which will probably last until dry rotted some years down the road, and I have Conti GP 4000S. Both 25mm. Both totally awesome, such great tires.

I got a pair of these too, the girl @ the counter made me try them first.
She told me to put them on, & rub my arms, they did make my arms feel cooler, she said there's something in the fabric that cools down your arms.
I wore them a few time, nut it wasn't really hot out, I'll give them another go since Summer finally arrived for us.

You know what they say about white... It reflects the sun/heat.
I got my Camelback in whit

I tried the Podium Chill bottle last year and it didn't keep my liquids as cold for as long as the Polar bottles. I froze a full Polar bottle solid and could ride for 3 hours in 95 degree heat and still have a frozen ball in the bottle with a cold drink, the Podium would only last 2 hours then it was cool not cold. I went back to the Polar bottles. The Podium was easier to squeeze but I never had a problem squeezing the Polar bottles so I don't see the point in that. Also the Podium is made of thinner plastic, probably why it's easier to squeeze, it fell onto the pavement and sprung a leak, something the Polars never do.
