Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Holy cow! Yeah, not a screamin' deal. I was all excited about this when I saw the ad saying 56% off, but I'm more of a sub-$500 frameset guy

https://www.competitivecyclist.com/r...ravel-frameset

$1150

Although that is front-derailleur-ready, which might become even more rare as time goes by, which makes it more tempting...

I <3 front derailleurs

They've had that frameset on discount for a while. I like the color. My size is sold out.

There area at least 3 tv shows about it. The only one I can watch is called "My 600 Pound Life". It's in hiatus now and I don't know if it is coming back. It features an Iranian American surgeon in Houston who performs gastric surgery on patients who are at least 600 pounds. Each show follows a single patient for a year and they are required to lose weight before any surgery is performed. They are also asked to see a therapist. Some succeed, some don't.

btw, the third heaviest person ever known was a Mexican named Manuel Uribe who was as high as 1300 pounds.

I have about 65K miles on the Chris King headset on my Seven and it seems fine. About 35K on the Cane Creek on the Gunnar and I haven't noticed any indexing but I haven't really checked that one lately.

Powerpoint (and its ilk) has the most unintuitive UI.

Maddening.

Yes. Big genetic component. We see it here all the time. They get alcoholic liver disease to beat the band too, sadly.
