Well, the last several pages that I missed were quite refreshing. Hey, pcad, welcome back. Regarding dating, it would not be for me. I won the marriage lottery the first time. Not stupid enough to try again. The odds would be against me. And I love being alone. The best part about solo business travel was room service at the hotel and vegging out in front of the TV all alone. Coming back home and re-acclimating to family life was always a struggle. What can I say, introvert.

Naw, I'm actually going to school. Gonna have an Associates in Drafting by Christmas. Just applied for a work mostly from home gig, we'll see if I get a callback.

Speaking of cars, the minivan's carpet got wet last night on the way home. 35th ave was flooded and the driver's door is missing some of the weather stripping. Ramona got to experience driving down a street that is also a river for the first time!
I noticed a funk getting in the car this evening

I use a mirroless Olympus and it is reasonably compact with the kit lens.

Its my daughters car. Exhaust pipe broke at flange where it attaches to muffler. I want to get a pair of split flanges and make the connection but I suspect split flange bolts wont clear existing flange. So looking for a way to shave down or drill through existing flange without removing it.

A bartender I have known for a long time from around the 'hood got a $1,000 tip from a Comcast exec. The check was $47.07. I am happy for her. She's a nice woman, and the place where she works is closing next week for rebranding.

I can't recomend a P&S with decent zoom but you should be able to find your answer on dp review

I miss my original Cannon, which I got as a gift in '09. Nice images and good zoom. I liked it so much I decided to let it slip from my hand and fall into a river after taking a photo on a bridge.

I will certainly protect eyes. Would wonder if a carbide-tip drill bit would work. I already have an electric drill. I don't have an angle grinder. I didn't buy/try the split flanges yet so am hoping they are wide enough to render the problem moot....but that old rusty flange looks mighty wide.

Lazy morning. Wife said last night that she wanted to go for a ride but hasn't mentioned it this morning. Maybe if I don't say anything, she'll forget.

I ran an extension cord out to the van and put the ol box fan to use. Dry as a bone, but still have the fan on and the driver's door open. Already 90° and sun is shining on the carpet.
Mom has an unusually extensive collection of floor cleaning contraptions, hopefully one is a carpet shampooer that I can get in there.

At the dealer where I worked if a car still in warranty got wet carpet from a leak we would always replace the carpet and padding.
