Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Can't hurt and I hope it helps.

End of next week is forecast to be partly cloudy and 20°F so maybe I can sneak out after work, especially since sunset is getting late enough to start riding outside again. I haven't ridden outside since January 16, save for the 6 minutes on the 1st of the month before I got a flat

What's your threshold for "particularly cold"?

My wife and I have both been riding the same route* on our trainer and if it's a flat course, I can take her but if you put a few steep hills in or a long grade, she crushes me. It's obvious that I'm too fat for this sport.

*we choose a route from the FulGaz library but generally ride the same one on a given day

Allow me to rephrase: I almost never snack at home. And certainly not after dinner. I eat meals and pretty much leave it at that.

I was about 10 years ago. I could have spent all day there, but kids got bored after about 2 hours.

Depends on whether entry is based on talent or popularity. They sometimes align and sometimes don’t.

I rode by it crossing the country back in '99. It was relatively early in the morning. I didn't want to stick around until it opened.
