Those medical ships are incredible. I've been on the Mercy and have hats from both, although the Comfort's hat is cooler.
I lived in Dubai as a kid. The UAE has always been a major US base and the US presence was the only reason we didn't get invaded during the Persian Gulf War. As a kid growing up, there were always frigates, destroyers, aircraft carriers, and medical ships in the docks.
We would have US servicemen over during holidays - Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas. My mom would feed them and my dad managed the housing complex we lived at, so they would all go down to the beach and use the pool. One year for Thanksgiving, we had the doctors over.

In fairness to him, I was having a pretty good season that year. Last year, not so much.

I had a steel Trek, a 660 I bought new in 1988, I think. The frame broke around the bottom bracket @ 15K miles. Trek warranty covered it but they didn't have any steel bikes left and offered me an aluminum frame, I think a 1400. I declined so they gave me store credit and I got a very slightly used Landshark frame for $150 and the store switched the parts.

Yeah, kind of like when an on-deck batter swings a weighted bat to pump up the muscles for his turn at bat.

Be more specific.
I don't know but last week there were eight suicides in Knox County which is way above normal.
Just learned back home there have been two different domestic murders this past week. One was a murder suicide, and one was just a murder. Both cases husband offed the wife.
Any chance this is a direct result of the quarantine?
Anybody looking at divorce rates right now?

My wife and I haven't left the house for over 3 weeks. We've been on each other's nerves now and then, but nothing too extreme yet. Probably because she's never ridden the tandem I bought her 36 years ago.

Shame about the 660, but good call on the Landshark, the 1XXX series aluminum Treks aren't exactly raved about.

Small shop. Average weekly bike sales are four or five units. But, of course, there is significant seasonal variation. In the winter, it's more like four or five bikes a month. A summer Saturday could see half a dozen go out the door.

Just ordered a new tent and Showers Pass 2.1 rain jacket. 25% off the former. 20% off the latter. Buh bye $261 REI dividend.
