I was at my kid's HS Jazz Band concert last week and the trumpet was killing it. He was playing solos with an interesting vibratto (think raspy sound, almost a gurgling) to his trumpet playing. What do you call that??

I took the car in for its 30,000 km check-up. Got out at the dealership and realized I didn't have my wallet. No worries though. I can go home and get it and get back in time. But wait! I can't get on a bus with no money. The wife had to bus in to the rescue.

The struggle is real. Right now, I am heavily weighing a new neck for one guitar (it works, I just want something that will work better) vs. new shoes for the gravel riding (Again, I have shoes that work, but want something that will work better).

I ride with three guys who own Cervélos. One is a World Bank guy (R5), one is a partner at a fancy downtown firm (R3), and one is a business guy (commercial real estate; R3). Not exactly Joe lunchpail types, but not a dentist among them.
