Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

HBD indyfabz!

RE: cool weather gear - I do arm warmers or LS jersey below 60, cover the knees below 50-55 (depending on other conditions). Wind vest somewhere in there, prob below 55

Knee warmers or tights only if it's going to be below 55. But that nice sunny Sunday, when it was 73 where you were? I was wearing a thermal jersey and wishing I'd worn a baselayer under it. Temps on my ride maxed out at 69 but was mostly under 60.

The actress Rose Marie had one and she lived near a shop where I worked. We did light service work on it. It had a GM a/c compressor, power steering pump, and smog pump, iirc. I think it also had a Turbo 400 transmission. I'm told the engine was a copy of an old Packard design.

A friend's brother bought an older RR, I think one of the "Cloud" models. Prices for parts were absurd. I think his idea was to fix it up and flip it but even the minor maintenance items are just ludicrous.

Put the Soma Dream bars on, still doesn't feel casual enough. Maybe I'll try a 27.5 front wheel to get that front end up a few more mms. Hopefully I have a skinny enough 27.5 tyre for that fork.

It was warm. I stripped off the base layer I was wearing under my jersey, but left the knee warmers on.

I think I could have done it on that bike if it weren’t for the backpack. I can barely scratch my nuts and stay upright on the road bike.
