This is so much better than my idea for making a kabob stick out of a rusty chain.

It would take some serious E-Bay and co-op scouring to come up with over 1000 old brake levers. All the same?

Yeah that is totally useless for actually carrying on the bike. Except maybe the "version 2" one shown that has a gap between the brake handle and the mug. I'm guessing that version wasn't as strong, but that's the only way it would fit in my bike's cup holder on the handle bars.
I do like the piece that swivels to open/close the hole in the lid. That's seems like a thoughtful design.

I got one thru local Trek Shop a couple years back , fits in a bottle cage , the seat tube one better than angle of downtube cage.
insulated, shaped to not slip from your hands.
nope, Weinmann/dia compe. & copies ..

It looks a little like an old Mafac lever.

A week left on their campaign.
And still only at about 50% of their goal.
I'm guessing there will be some quick magic accounting happening on the 17[sup]th[/sup].

I think it should be attached with a band and the brake lever actually moves. You squeeze the lever against the mug and it opens the drink hole. You would have to change the cable occasionally though, a barrel adjuster may be nice.
In the meantime I'll stick with my Contgio as well.

The Coffee Brake Mug is back.

They've lowered their goal to something attainable.

Unfortunately most of their "early bird" deals are going quickly.

I have no problem with the hipster look. In fact, I like it.

One of my friends has recently been making a case that I am, in fact, a hipster.
Beard? Check.
Drink artisanal beers? Check.
Smug about bikes? Check.
I think he had a couple of other points too, but those were the strongest. My defense has basically been that I don't wear skinny jeans (no danger of that ever happening again) and that if I were actually a hipster I'd have to trade my baseball cap in for a trucker hat (a rather fine distinction to the average person, but hipsters know).
