Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Nice looking bike but I'm not a fan of the red hoods on it.

id like to see a macked out bmc streetracer. 105 versions are going for 900 bucks at competitive cyclist but they have some corny stock parts.

Funny that there have been three white Nashbar's posted.. the flat bar BIKE started with that same alum frame, and I swapped out for the carbon rear triangle, great frame for $60 to $100, and I love the carbon rear triangle version for the $120 I paid. I actually bought the same BMC SL02 model posted by Yaniel, but sent it back in preference of the flats and the SRAM X9 on it over the 105 on the BMC.

Now I have a Cinelli frame on order, so I am finally headed to drops and joining the herd.

I traded a bike I paid $200 for (granted it was a good deal and worth more than $200) for this colnago that originally had campy SR. Ebayed the campy SR parts for more than I paid for the new veloce group from ribble. Had to pay to ship the other bike for the trade, buy tires, a cassette, and bar tape and that's pretty much it. The wheels were a freebie but they're temporary and will be replaced with ones that will probably double the cost of the bike... lol...

My stock '12 CAAD8, probably going to change wheels first to get less spokes. Other than that, I'm reading good things on the design is almost identical as the CAAD10's and the weight is right there also. Also heard they upgraded the Tiagra's for '12 so their higher quality than in the past. I figured I'll keep it a while and if I find deals in the future on upgrades I'll slowly replace with cool stuff.

What if you paid under the 2K mark but the original retail $ was over?
Does that count?

Sorry. Seriously, rest your sphincter. Didn't know I was pissing people off. I will refrain from posting more pictures or asking questions. Please feel free to not open any thread I may or may not start in the future.
