I have a glove liner mitten combo, I may give that a try to see if I can actually shift. My hands and feet get really cold in the 20s. My New Year’s Day ride I ended up with numb feet about 10 miles in and they never warmed up over the final 30 miles. Same with my hands.

I have a PI Amfib jacket that I find to be warm in our "cold." Sometimes too warm. But, that's in the 40s, and not 30s or below.

I just use a mid-weight Windstopper fleece glove from OR. It's also my everyday glove for not-super-cold conditions. It works fine most of the time. When it doesn't (teens) I add a merino glove liner.

This year, I have also been using short sleeve, skintight, high quality, synthetic base layers under my long sleeve wool base layer. Hasn’t gotten really cold yet, but I’ve noticed a big increase in comfort and moisture management. Less stink and more rides per wash for the outer layers too.

I still haven't found gloves that are very good. I do believe that you need to go two or more sizes up for road cycling. I find that gloves that fit properly under normal conditions are too short and tight when gripping the bars - that compresses the insulation, particularly in the fingertips, and it all goes to ****. My current Dakine ski/snowboard gloves, that come with additional liners, are at least two sizes "too big," but they've been good for an hour at 20° or so, which is as harsh as I've ridden in this year. They're bulky and actuating the little shift lever is hit or miss, but they've been as good as I've experienced, so far.

It's not the first time it's happened, I lost about 15 minutes of a workout last week as well. Not too concerned about something like that since I'm not exactly tracking things super closely, but if I work out for an hour and it only gives me credit for less than a minute, well that's a bunch of bull.
For indoor workouts I'm not going to care all that much. Thankfully no problems with real rides yet.

My Rapha Core Winter Jacket is warm enough in any conditions that I'd like to ride in. Down to the upper 20s, I'll wear a single base layer. Two layers will take me in to the teens. Oh, and I always have a merino neck warmer/gaiter - it really helps a lot.

I think I need to figure out the feet and hands the most. I have neoprene covers with warm socks, not sure what else I can do

Took the Covid test Wednesday and got results just now. Test came back negative. This means one of two things; false negative or some other bug has invaded me. Since I am usually the recipient of multiple viral illnesses every year I'll go with the latter for now.

I've used chemical warmers stuffed inside the neoprene toe covers. Worked great in the low 20s while climbing and descending. Pcad told me.

I lived in a rental house with friends and my friend who did the mowing was allergic so I would wake to the sound of the mower with him sneezing loudly several times per minute.

Which test did you get? The one they shove way up your nose or the one where they swab your mouth?

I mow our yard, and let the yard service go when Covid hit my business. Fortunately, it's a small yard, and only takes about an hour to do it right - mow, trim, edge, blow.
