Sock Cuff Length?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Shorts that cover the tops of your socks have another name:

Pants.

I have enough pairs of apparently indestructible Pearl Izumis from when cyclists wore socks that covered the ankles then stopped. No cool designs or colors, unless you consider 'white' a cool color and the Pearl Izumi log a cool design.

When I took out my first USCF license, socks were required and had to be white and ankle height. Short tights had to be black come within some number of inches of the knee and there were other regs on appearance.

This is the correct answer to the OPs question.

If you want to be fashionable shorter is always better when it comes to socks. I saw someone with these long colorful socks yesterday and they were sweet, I hope that style becomes more fashionable

I thought random references to sock height in other threads were an inside joke. Apparently not. I wear whatever socks are on top of the drawer.

Short and thin if it's warm, a little taller and heavier if it's cool enough for anything other than summer bib shorts and a short sleeve jersey.

Since long socks became so popular, I just started wearing my bolder dress socks. Flamingoes, Baby Yoda, musical jokes, whatever.

7" socks are my favorite. 6"-8" works. I don't care what people think, though I used to love low socks before.
