I've started juicing agin after falling off the wagon about a month ago. Hopefully this will restore some of my energy which is almost always in short supply.

Needs a red bell pepper. Maybe some blueberries. Superfoods.

Fitbit recovered. Thank you for your prayers and concern.
Got scolded today in the pace line. I have a tendency to dial it up when I am in the front. I don’t do it on purpose, I think I am anticipating the drag from no longer drafting, but I am wayyyy over compensating. Really does me more harm than anything. After my third pull I almost got dropped.

Why do you think consuming and inordinate amount of apples and cucumbers is going to increase your red blood cell count?

Had a good ride. Lots of damage from the storm. Lots of noisy generators in some neighborhoods. We could not get water at our usual spot (French Creek State Park) presumably because no power means no well pump. We asked and were able to get our bottles filled at a local car repair garage.

I have a leather one, but thanks. I picked up that same saw this morning and noticed I didn't have it on. I had taken it off to wash my hands. Re-installed it and made the cut.

I've found that a protein smoothie almost always does the job. That looks like it would do the trick as well. I wonder if we still have a juicer.....

You may also want to core your apples. Apple seeds are toxic. Not like 'fall over dead' toxic, but not healthy for you, either.

As an aside, and not really related to your post, I always get a kick out of those clickbait ads that tell us to "Try Quinoa! (or some other thing) Superfood of the (insert fallen civilization name here)!"
I think, "Try Potatoes! Superfood of the Irish!!" (at least 2 great-great grandparents came over to escape the Potato Famine)

They do have more fat that I imagined. One patty has 25% of the RDA of saturated fat. The odd thing I found about cooking them was knowing when they were done. Also, I wondered what was responsible for the "bloody burger juice" looking liquid so I looked up the ingredients. Probably the beet juice extract for people who need to think they are eating meat.

When I was a ute, my dad ate apple cores, and I have done the same, for 63 years now.

I would think so. I gave the guys at a LBS a case one year around Christmas for hooking me up with a fair amount of free work on the spot during the year. An alternative is a Wawa gift card if there is a store nearby.
