Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Last night and this morning I kicked off my hot weather sleeping/waking routine. Asleep at eight and awake at 3:30/4:00. During the cold of winter I had slipped into staying awake until 9 and sleeping in until 6 sometimes.

Watch band recommendations?
The leather one that came with the watch has lost its loop, and I’ve been using electrical tape to keep it fastened. I’m thinking something made of rubber perhaps.

sweat ruins the rubber ones pretty quickly. Try to find canvas or paracord.

Ah, they are saying now the explosions were nitrous oxide tanks going up.

* Worked my ass off fixing other people's F ups
* Walked Roscoe twice and took him out many times to bleed off excess pressure on his old bladder
* At the behest of the Mrs. I yelled at the credit card company for slow walking our fraud refund claim that they know and admitted should be resolved in our favor (in 12 days)
* Looked at houses to buy based on our search parameters
* Danced for joy celebrating our federal tax refund finding its way into our account.
* Made my lunch for tomorrow
* Ironed my clothes for tomorrow
* Posted quality content on BF
* Watched YouTube videos that interested me from my subscriptions
* Read an article about ways to avoid the dopamine addicted life
* Made it through another day
I had a pleasant visit with the noctor.

I knew that helmet reminded me of something. I could not place it. One of my friends helped me make the connection:

Looks like it was designed for the space creature from "Alien."

it's not a competition. Keep posting ride/race reports and kid updates and you'll be fine. In case you don't know, I am the self appointed content quality manager of this thread. It's an impossible task. I also have the awesome shovel which is legendary.

If you have the time and inclination take this as high in the organization as possible and politely rub their noses in it. This kind of carelessness is the breeding ground of risk and liability, so, unless they're incredibly stupid, they'll take it seriously.
