Help with derailleur
So I'm building a bike the problem is that my derailleur is a different from my shifter. I was wondering if this would be a big issue or if I would be able to get away with it.
i have shimano 105 11spd Road shifters to a Shimano XT RD-M8000 Rear Derailleur from what I know the derailleur is 11spd but is MTB

The information you need is pull ratio - the amount the ratio between cable movement and derailleur movement. If those figures match then it ought to work. There's a useful information page on Sheldon Brown. I have to ask, though, why you're trying to do that, though? Road derailleurs will generally handle pretty large cassettes these days.
