Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Pritzger expected to announce at 3 PM tomorrow.

Edit: I see you got the message.

Not shut down yet, but with New York and Illinois and California, we're not far behind.

I appreciate that Cuomo specifically mentioned getting exercise in his press conference.

I went through a WW phase. I spent a ton of time deciding on every part of a super light build. I did a lot of weighing stuff. It was a ton of fun and handwringing at its best. Finished product was based on the first strong but light race frame, the R3SL. Under 6kg.

You can virtually ride my Cervelo.

hot! I think he wins wifi.

Im not at concerned at all about weight, prolly should be. I would imagine if I am spending over 1500 the bikes would weight roughly the same. I just don’t want to have to replace parts right out of the gate.

Now if i can just convince her a power meter is necessary for the bike to function......

So question: If I do the ultrasonic chain cleaning and then just apply regular lube, how screwed am I? My impression is that the lube is stripped from the inside of the rollers. Getting into the wax thing sounds like something I'd rather not mess with at the moment, but I do want to get a stupid clean chain. I installed a new one on the Crockett recently and the factory grease gunk is already just black and nasty.

Wow! The REI member sale started today. People stuck at home must be bored. Just went on line and a good number of things that were available a few days ago no longer are, including the jacket and tent I wanted.

Some lubes, like DuMonde, recommend completely stripping the chain, so I wouldn't imagine that you're screwed at all. I don't know for sure, but I would imagine that when you go with the a-drop-for-every-roller method, the lube kind of wicks between the pins and the rollers.

Also, FWIW, having a chain that's stripped and dry is 90% of the hassle of the waxing process behind you. If you had a crock pot and wax mix on hand, it would probably take literally 5 minutes of hands-on time to complete.

My wife is bored today and is going though old photos. This is my son and me, guessing 1988 or 1989. Oakley Pilot glasses and Giro beer cooler helmet. Like mentioned earlier this week, LAKE shoes was one of our sponsors and it appears that my son is wearing my spare pair, we got two pairs. The tandem is an all Campy 1979 Schwinn Paramount.

I’ve noticed a lot of mail order sites with gaps in their offerings, especially in clothing and shoe sizes.

Anyone else currently have a Cervelo? Mrs Bah Humbug , otherwise known as AG, has one, I think. Did patentcad have one for a time? And then there was Soloist Assassin.

She wants it under 2000, so I believe that would eliminate the trek bikes which isn’t a deal breaker, after looking around they seem to be a little more expensive than average. The giant and the ferrazi both come same frame and wheels but with tiagra and that brings the price down below 2000.
I thought you were buying @WhyFi"s old Domane.

Seeing those shoes on your son makes me want those Lake retro lace-up numbers even more - those look to be the model they were designed after -

WhyFi These had Velcro straps. It’s funny my kid is wearing my pristine spare, un-crashed pair and mine are taped up.

That's quite the variation
On a similar note, over the course of 50 years of buying my shoes in shops, I have rarely gotten it right( my left foot is slightly larger). My first pair of online shoes came in this morning. The fit is perfect!
