Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Here's my '05 Masi Speciale Carbon and Shimano RS80 wheels (2nd wheelset for club rides) with Vittoria Diamante Pro's. The things I have added are a Chris King BB, Easton Wing bar (this added more comfort than any other equipment), Speedplay pedals, Deda dog fang (to keep chain from falling off small chainring), and a recent Shimano 6701 chain along with Wippermann Connex link.

Nice. (although at this point I could probably get it half done with my thumbnail)

And then did you clear coat it?

Wow, I had a few little paint chips. Your paint is effed. Yeah, I stripped it all, then I painted the aluminum bits with Testors Graphite dust gray paint. Then finished it all off with this:

I love love love the all black, But I think the red bolts on your crank throw off the whole flow of the black. There is no other bits of red that accent those bolts. They just look tacky imo. Good job on the whole paint job though.

edit: in regards to the oclv trek

You can't tell from the full bike shots, but there is more red there. Both bikes have all the limit adjusters, and derailleur pulley bolts done in red aluminum. I also ordered some for the mounts for the cable adjusters on the down tube on the Trek to tie it in more. The pedals are red, and there are red bits on the logos on the bars, and stem too.

for reference:

I actually lowered my saddles, and pushed them back a bit from previous setups.

What tablet are you using on the TREK? or is that an iPad.

Oh, and weight and build list?

Wasn't really looking for a CAAD but $900 for a 105 equipped bike wasn't a bad deal.

It's my iPhone. Wahoo Fitness iPhone mount. Turns it into a ANT+ waterproof computer.

Pretty damn good so far. I might have to remove my only spacer on the S2 however. The Trek bars are a bit lower now.

I respectfully disagree. That bike brings the heat decals and all imo. Good job.
