Caisse d'Epargne only has 3 riders, no Valverde and Sanchez. I hope I can find it live Sunday morn. I think Ryder Hesjedal Or the Redneck have a chance. The Schlecks will be tough too.

Apparently transit in Europe is a total mess right now; they also weren't expecting the problems to last this long. I'm not surprised several riders won't make it in time.

I'd rather put my bike on the train over a plane any day.. Try to book a train right now..Trains might soon look like commuting in India, with third class seat reservations atop the roof...

Nice prediction. Good on Ryder to gut his way to 2nd! The commonwealth gets represented without Wigsey!

I was in Limburg for the sportif on Saturday and spectating Sunday. Great fun. I saw the winding race in six different places and on four different climbs. Including the 300m mark from the finish, just as Gilbert tromped on it.

If anyone is ever planning to be in the Limburg region during April, it's a weekend I highly recommend.

For longer trips like that, your bike goes on a seperate train, and you'll be connected with your bike at a later point.

I think cyclezealot might be a little bit sarcastic there. However, trains (and buses and hotels and rental cars) have been a nightmarishly overbooked in the EU since the cloud grounded the planes. Everyone has the "brilliant" idea to use alternate transportation, which results in no one being able to get anywhere. The British Royal Navy is dispatching warships to Spain to try and pick citizens up and ferry them back to merry old England....
