Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm thinking about a jailbreak and doing a 30-45 minute post-work ride on Tuesday. An easy "test the waters" effort of 115 bpm. I am guessing that might be my new 75% if my new max is 150 bpm. The PA said I could ride but wanted me to do it indoors on a trainer. I'll stay close to my start by riding no more than 3 miles away then returning etc.

I'm going to try not to make every post include a tweet from the Siberian times, but not yet.

I haven't seen anyone around here clear it that way, but I wouldn't be surprised.

I realize that they're trying to get to the grocery store, but someone should tell them that the KOM is the other way.

They'll need some studded tires.

41 'achievements', says Strava, including a lot of PRs, on the same old roads. Also a higher average speed than any 50+ mile ride in the last 12 months. Also my longest ride in February EVAR. I think this Zwift stuff might actually be working for me!
