It’s simply an ongoing thread evidencing the numerous ways cyclists are addicted to their hobby/sport. Unlike other threads the topics are allowed to vary widely. You might think of it as a Foo thread within the Road forum. Free to join.

My right crank arm has some play in it. Not really visible but I can feel it when I grab the arm and shake it. Left arm seems to be okay. In order to tighten the right arm do I just loosen the pinch bolts on the left arm and then tighten the big bolt? Is there a NM I should adhere to?
Its shimano 105 I believe 7000 but not 100 percent sure.

But yes - loosen the pinch bolts and then tighten the big one. It's plastic on many Shimano cranks, which should tell you that it's a very low torque piece. You just want it finger tight - just enough to remove lateral play along the spindle. If you're using something with a lever, go very lightly.

The right side is a one-piece affair of the spider, crank and spindle - the whole thing should be moving, not just the arm. If it's just the arm, something's broken.

Well this is going to sound silly, but I can’t tell if the play is the arm or pedal shaking. I noticed something felt different when riding this morning and it was only on the right side. Just checked again to be sure.
Pedals could have anywhere from 14000 to 30000 miles on them for all I know.

Went on a walk last night with my wife and saw that some trees are budding
Also found some well travelled paths, previously covered by snow:
