Gimme under 6 any time. At 8, some of them seem to be actively seeking out how much of a dick they can be and still get away with it. I had to tell one of the kids that he'd sit on the front stoop 'til his dad picked him up if I heard him being an asshat towards my daughter again.

That's the way. Disclaimer: I won't be held responsible for any banishment to the doghouse that will result from following my advice.

One bus driver last week apparently warned a kid on previous run, and when the kid tried to get back on later on the return bus driven by the same driver, there was a one-way conversation telling the kid that he had been warned and to get off again. Great stuff to hear and see.

I don’t know about boys, but I sure miss having a girl around. Ages 12 and 13 were difficult for all parties, but every year was a joy. As I’ve said before, @WhyFi, enjoy it. Soon you’ll be sobbing in a dorm stairway, if you’re a big softy like me.
...but yeah, the parties are murder.

Speaking of Hello Kitty, whatever happened to @Makel? Wasn’t she Hello Kitty in her avatar?
I got married and had a kid, I'm always exhausted. It's like impossible to restart you're account, even harder when you've been drinking vodka.
Started looking at bike trailers for the munchkin, Academy had some that were like 27 lbs. I don't think I can pull that plus him, I'm still midway fat (keep getting sick).
You guys still here?

Laziness ruined a great ride yesterday. Met up with some friends for a ride in rural S. Jersey that included a bay beach stop to watch horseshoe crabs mate. Punctured the front relatively early on. Sealant was old because I kept putting off getting new sealant. Wouldn't hold air. Tried inserting a tube but couldn't get the tire to seat properly. At least I was able to soft pedal back to the car.

I don't think that kids would accept bday invites from my boy if I resorted to that. I mean, I'd be fine with that, but the boy would probably be bummed.
Yeah, I'm not sure of how that happened, either.

Probably why you're a better parent than I would be. You're considerate of the youngsters feelings, and I'd be worrying about a spot where ripping the duct tape off wouldn't peel paint off the wall.

That's an easy fix, one dollar a month, just saying.

Short ride this morning. I have a new favorite local bill. It’s almost a mile long and 8.2%, which is not bad for around here.
