I realize the Bates Method sounds a little hair-brained to the Western mind. It's basically a meditation, and meditation can have profound effects. The epley maneuver comes to mind as another oddball treatment, but that one works too.

Took the family to see the Union Pacific Big Boy roll in to St Paul Union Depot this afternoon... and then got steamed myself when the ****er was stupid late. I mean, you *know* that people are going to be waiting per your published timetable and you *know* that there are going to be a good number of kids involved, so why on earth would you hover just out of sight for more than an hour beyond your scheduled arrival? Ugh.
The boy didn't know what we were waiting for, so I was thankful that he was so pumped when it finally backed in (slooooowly), but man, I was regretting being there for a while.

Only 92 here, feels like 100. I find, this year in particular, that I feel like I'm turning into my father- I started driving without using the A/C. I find that I'm tolerating the heat so much better this year.
(Though, it could also be due to the 35lbs I dropped in the past year, as well. Darn confounders.)

We had two waits nearing 2 hours apiece in Wyoming. I'm surprised the little lady survived

OK, I can't figure out the multi-quote thing. Hello again, everyone. Just thought I'd jump back in when the opportunity presented itself.
Thanks, Billy- the studies are stalled at the moment between writer's block, a touch of fear of the unknown, and some life stress that took over. But I'm getting back into it and should be back on track in the fall.
Y'all have a good day!

A friend who's also my rigger and a semi-pro sailor just emailed me about a local 3-day regatta this weekend, presumably looking for crew. He didn't name the boat, but knowing him, it could be a fast one that might up my skills, look good on the resume, and maybe win something. I'm praying it's a dog so it will be easy to say no. It's just too goddamn hot.

I know we are not supposed to comment on other threads in the 41 here, but I am going to break the rules (although I hope not bad enough to get a hand slap from the mods),
That "Giving up Ti" thread is such fail. I tried to put a few helpful comments in, but I am done with it. Not sure if it's a troll or super obtuse, but in any case I have voted with my feet.
