Sturmer??
Some seller has a Sturmer road bike for sale. Appears to have chrome lugs, but not fancy chrome lugs. Says Sturmer on top and down tubes. sidepull brakes, Brooks saddle, drop bars, single right
side downtube shifter. Steel 3 piece cranks , but not cottered. Looks decidedly old European, Dutch or maybe German? First time I have ever heard of or seen of this brand. Probably weighs 50 pounds,
but very interesting almost early type touring bike. Sadly it looks an inch or two too small for me. Just curious if anyone here has one?

Stromer? maybe? I agree the flag on the forks looks German
I want to know what mounts on this. Depending on price I might buy it just for whatever this is.
Raleigh USA?

$75 I think? Can't though. Just spent twice as much for an 83 Nashbar Terra XT.

This head badge almost certainly indicates it is German. https://www.ebay.com/itm/264785530008
Unique and interesting enough you have to at least go check it out.

I know nothing of the marque but I would nab it just because of the lugs, Brooks saddle and general funkiness. If the seller agreed to $50 I would be happy.

It’s about a half hour from me. It’s too tall for me which is why I don’t already own it. I can facilitate if needed.

Based on the length of the head tube, I’d guess 56-58cm.

one possible application for the holder bracket visible on the cycle's downtube is a for a gonfleur
the machine's mid-fifties date places it in the heyday of gonfleur popularity which ranged from the 1930's through the 1950's
appears the gear ensemble fitted may be the Specialties Huret Tour de France model
catalogue page of 1956 -
the bicycle's alloy quill pedals are of obvious high quality but have not been able to make out an identification; perhaps another reader with better eyes may be able to make out a detail or details to lead to an identification...

I had to google gonfleur and while I was there, used google translate to get Aufblasgerät.

That, my friend, is a bottle cage. The bottom of the bottle fits over the Y at the bottom, then the top is pressed under the ball, which both holds it in place and seals it at the same time. I saw one similar a few years ago on Ebay.

Ah Ha! The ball is the stopper! I suspected it was a bottle holder but just couldn’t see it, but if it has no top it makes sense. Thanks.
