Depending on which definition you're looking at, I can claim either.
Personally I claim Gen-X, largely because of the influence of my older siblings, who were unquestionably Gen-X (born in the 70s.)
I personally define the difference as being that I had an analog childhood and digital teenage years.
Like, partly due to economics and rural geography, in the 80s growing up I had antenna TV only, record players, and a rotary phone (again, because the phone companies didn't want to run individual lines to the rural areas until the government forced them to.)
Then in the mid-90s we got dial-up internet to our house, and I was in my late 20s when smart phones became a thing.
But however you define it, I get to enjoy the **** sandwich that is our current economy, environment, and global political reality!

One of my weekly emails had a thing in it for the Brave browser. It promises faster browsing and no ads. I went for it for the faster browsing. Where we live, and in my part of the house, my phone browses at the speed of a stone. I used BF as a test case for ads. I logged out for a full session, and saw not a single ad. Promising. It also claims to run Youtube ad free, and with some of the other features of Youtube Premium. My free month runs out in a few days. Vamos a ver.

Now this is useful information, my wife was born in '64 (December) and I in early spring of '65. So in addition to the fact that she is always one year older, a mathematical fact that causes her much distress, I can also reply to her "Ok boomer" when needed

At least with the Android version, there's some sort of paid option but you can still use it for free. Something about opting in to certain ads to get credits or something. It seemed complicated and I didn't feel like taking the time to figure it out.
But it is pretty effective at ad blocking. Everyone once in a while a site won't work on it but that's the exception.

If that gives your the heebie jeebies, you should watch Free Solo, a great documentary about a guy's attempt to free solo (climb without ropes/safety devices) El Capitan in Yosemite, which is about 2x the height of the Empire State Building.

The heebie jeebies have been wiped out by modern day vaccines.

One would think so, but google says the heebie jeebies are a relatively modern invention, first noted in 1923. Less than 100 years old. It may take more time to develop an effective vaccine.

They're giving me a mentorship award here next month. No big deal, but of all the things I've gotten plaqued and back-patted for, this is my favorite. Also, by far the best part of my job.
