There's a reason mortality in childhood, especially infant mortality, used to be a lot higher. My Mom had 3 siblings, but ended up with only one who lived past 3 years old.

Height and weight (BMI, essentially) doesn't mean much for individuals - composition can vary quite a bit. Someone at your weight and height could be skinny fat with little definition or look they could have a physique that shows every rippling strand of muscle.

Just make a point of not back-sliding too much each winter and you can push the weight loss further each riding season. I'm just under 6' with a broad-ish frame, and used to yo-yo between ~225 in the offseason and ~200 during the riding season. At that point, I would have thought that I would have been too thin at 185, too. A few years ago, though, I stayed under 205 over the winter and it was a stepping stone to hitting 190 later in the year. At that point I knew that I could still easily lose another 10lbs. Having spent a good portion of this year at ~180, I know that I could get to 170, but it'd be tough sledding beyond that.

For Festive 500 I think I'm gonna just ride 40-ish miles every day instead of doing big/medium/little days.
I did approx Dannihilator mileage today - 42.72 miles. That was not bad at all, and I don't think I'm going to be in the mood for a metric tomorrow. Four whole flybys (I cruised a lot of MUP). I reached down for phantom downtube shifters only once (first time on brifters in a few months)
Anyways... spreadsheet update:

Correct. BMI is not intended to apply to individuals. At least it’s not supposed to.

True. Whenever my wife insists I’m too thin, I tell her my BMI is normal. I have more rippling veins and tendons than muscle.

From reading the last several pages about height and weight it appears it's all about weight ratios.

I haven't even looked into that, since I was already Zwifting before I bought it. But it looks like Level 3 means 200 watts to go 15 mph, which seems like a lot. This page suggests it should be more like 100.

I had the mumps and chicken pox as a yute. I took a prescribed medication (Izonizid?) from the state Dept of health as a teen when I failed/passed a mantoux(Sp.?) test for TB screening.
FEAR NOT! I'm still awesome.
I looked it up. I was close it is isoniazid.

It has the advantage of being really easy to calculate, whereas metrics that are actually useful require more sophisticated equipment than a bathroom scale and a yardstick. It's about as useful as women's clothing sizes, where a single unitless number is supposed to apply to all the different shapes women come in.

5 or 6 years ago I went on a Broccoli diet. Gave up beer and soda. I drank ice tea and water. 4 days a week I would eat Broccoli . Coliflower sometimes. But that was it, nothing else. Worked like a charm. I throw in chicken breast now and then.
So right now I eat lunch @ work. But veggies for dinner. Coffee for breakfast. Ill give this a couple weeks and see what the loss rate is. Hopefully I won't have to get any more serious than that. I'm not looking for miracles, just steady loss. If spring finds me @210 or so that would be just fine.

That's just the way it came together. Instead of first figuring out the Imperial equivalent of 500km, I just did a conversion equation for the km column, then started typing in daily mileages in the miles column 'til I got to 500km. That's why the miles are even numbers, but the kms aren't.
So it is

Sure. I'm just saying that it's hard to gauge how light you could be (without sacrificing muscle mass) until you start making serious headway towards getting lean. I was a big-but-not-obese guy and I overestimated my muscle mass by a good 10-15lbs; don't mentally cap yourself to a lower weight limit until you start seeing muscle/skeletal structure peeking out.
