I actually may have a line on another Schwinn frame from that year that I think has some potential.
This was the quite the controversy in the household with "but why do I have to take the test". In WI due to the virus, one doesn't need to pass a drivers test to get their license if both parents sign off. No way was I allowing a pass on that. The most dangerous thing we allow teenagers to do is drive, and I want an independent assessment. Wife indicated to son that we would sign off - she figured she would convince me, well at times I still can stick up and win on occasion it seems..
I was made to take the test in a full-size conversion van.
I think my brother got to use a pickup

That's complicated, I want to use it as a spare for my CAAD12 if i ever get it back. It has to be modified from 9 speed to 11 speed then i will prolly buy a cheapish (surprise) 28 tire to put on it since the CAAD12 can accept a 28.
Yes, i pushed that a bit far. I think i have 1000 miles on it since the cords began to show. Last night i got paranoid and cut my ride short because i was sure it was going to blow. I vowed to change it and i swapped it with my spare wheel. As said above, this wheel will be my spare for the new bike. I think I have close to 6000 miles on that tire which is insane. It is a $25 performance tire.

That’s why I go for those Michelins I talk about, but won’t even go to Gatorskins. The Tannus ones are much worse, I hear.

It's a new day so, with a fresh load of gumption, I decided to do it right and drain the wheels... again. I was able to salvage the sealant this time by suctioning it out before unscrewing the valve stem, which releases the inner chamber water in to the tire cavity. Front wheel was pretty minor, maybe an ounce at most. Rear wheel was probably closer to 5-6oz.
The idea of foul weather wheels is starting to sound more appealing, but really, who sets out thinking that they may get stuck in a torrential downpour? Not I.

Woof. Rapha went from not having anything desirable available in my size to having too much to choose from in my size on clearance. Yikes, this could be bad for the bank account.

The Prelude isn't the pink one, is it?

In Texas you were allowed to waive the test for your kids similarly.
I was made to take the test in a full-size conversion van.

I had a lot of water in a set of A23s after spending 4 hours in the rain once - not as deep as your Zipps but there's still a decent amount of room.

So the wife and I were given a sneak peak of the post apocalypse. We drove to Cancun yesterday, on the free road(two lane), rather than the expensive toll road. It's generally a painful drive, filled with tour buses, regular buses, lots of trucks and regular traffic. Yesterday those roads were empty. Empty I tell ya! I could set the cruise control and go for miles and miles without interruption. And the towns we went through were ghost towns. There was some activity in and around Cancun, but between here and there it was post apocalyptic. Same on my return this morning.

Biggest problem is that a brand new pink bike looks great but one that's beat up, rusty, and faded from 30 years of riding looks way worse than ones painted in more ordinary colors in the same condition.
Especially the "Ice Pink" 87 Prelude.

Side note, if I were to roll my own backup wheels, they'd prolly have Hydra rims - they make good stuff for the money.

I had some A23s a couple bikes ago. Nice rims and I could see them being wide/deep enough for some water in the internal chamber. I suppose that drainage isn't as bad without a tubeless stem sealing things up, though.

I'm very impressed with my set of Archetypes, so Hydras would definitely be on my short list if I was building a disc wheelset.
