Previously I would peel and then slice them. What a nightmare.
I can't imagine eating the skin

I mean, I don't know, I don't do it! I peel the skin (except for a piece around the stem to hold it by) in one piece with a good paring knife in maybe half a minute and eat the fruit in several bites. She said it was a professor who said in class it was possible, and she just always did it.

Harmless money wasters are low priority for the FDA, an underfunded agency with a huge mandate, stretched to the breaking point trying to get cancer cures reviewed and approved and keeping deadly stuff off the market. I think Gottlieb had plans to revamp the supplement regime and the legit industry players were on board, but he's gone now and the new guy is not expected to be as effective.
The public is also distrustful and becoming ever more willfully stupid about this stuff. These days when some government agency tries to shut down a criminal quack like Breszinski in Texas, who injects piss into cancer patients, it's the Deep State in league with Big Pharma suppressing the secret of immortality.
Short version: Don't get me started!

I’ve NEVER peeled the skin of a kiwi and have ALWAYS eaten them whole. Been eating them that way for nigh on 40 years when I was first introduced to them by a coworker.
I’m gobsmacked.

I actually don’t think it’s that kind of thing in this particular case. The reasonably legit supplement folks, who form the lobby and wield the big financial stick, have a vested interest in a certain degree of regulation and keeping the dirtballs out. The Prevagen guys are qualitatively different from the folks selling you whey protein or (equally useless) vitamin C.

will do. You’re welcome to borrow it when you’re going to re-cable.
I’m tempted to replace the brake cables while I change the handle bar, but I can’t bring myself to do it just for the vanity of having a huge 3” section of housing/cable hidden within the internal routing of the handlebars.
On another note, anyone recommend a nice handlebar tape to go with the crabon bars? Remember though, I’m a #cheapskate, so no fancy shmancy, double layered, multi colored tape for me.

Driving to the airport this morning at 4am, I passed a lady in a car with a tablet somehow mounted to her steering wheel, and she was watching something. I thought it was ridiculous, and somehow that led me to thinking about mounting one to my handle bars.
Not serious by any means.
