Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Finding The Right Chainring- 45t

I need help finding a 45t, 130BCD, 3/32'', 10-speed SRAM compatible, outer Chainring for my Caad10. I am a junior rider and I am really fed up with the junior gears especially when you flat and you need neutral support. Is there any difference between and inner and outer ring when mounting, or could I mount a 44t inner ring as my outer ring? I know if I buy a track 45t it won't be pinned, which hurts shifting- I need it so I can have the max range with 12-25 cassette. Could you please comment on the best one of these? Or find another that could be my outer chainring and fit all the of specs-
Thanks-

These are the rings I have found:

2. https://aebike.com/page.cfm?action=de...=30&SKU=CR0480

Get the FSA pro ring. Its the only one that's ramped and pinned as an outer ring.

Why does it have to be 44? You could get a 48 which are easy to find as outer rings, and run a 13 on the back it'll give the same gear ratio, or 50/14. there are plenty of options for junior rear cassettes.

That FSA 45T 130BCD ring should be available *somewhere* in the United States if you don't want to order from UK and wait or pay huge shipping.

Oh and I would get a matching FSA inner ring. It will shift better.

I use a Salsa 45t for my son's bike (w/12-28 cassette). It's not ramped and pinned but still shifts great. You probably won't be able to tell the difference.
