Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Building a fix gear just want to buy the frame need help deciding

money isn't really an issue but I'm not trying to buy a new car or anything, but I want something that'll last and let me beat on it. I commute every day but I also like to do distance riding. I don't need to be able to hook a rack up to the frame or anything
Like that I carry a bag usually. Right now I'm riding a surly cross check and I really like the geometry of the frame. I was looking at the steam roller but then also a few other frames kind had my eye. I just don't really know where to start. So I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions for me to check out and kind of figure out what I want

Wabi Cycles' selection of bikes and frames

The classic will suit your needs and is in the price range of surly and soma.

I'm debating over an Affinity metropolitan or a Surly steamroller. Money isn't an issue for me either.

Soma, Surly, All City, Cinelli, EAI, Wabi, etc. Check out the show me your SSFG thread on here. Shouldn't take long to find a couple brands you like by checking out other peoples.
