Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Reynolds Solited SE 2013 Wheelset

Hi, guys.

I have a 2013 Reynolds Solitude* wheelset. I'm trying to switch change my 700x23 tires to 700x25, but I'm uncertain they'll fit. I tried researching a bunch of websites and forums, and have only come across this wheelset working with only 700x23 tires. Can you guys confirm this?

Thanks,

Albert

I've never heard of a modern road clincher wheelset that can't accept both 23 and 25 mm tires, but I'm sure there is some exception.

I borrowed a Solitude rear wheel for a race after I broke a spoke the day before, the wheel had a 25mm Conti tire on it, it won't be a problem for you.

With some bikes, the bigger question will be if the bike has proper clearance for the 25's.

Thank you guys. This link: Review: Reynolds Solitude wheelset | road.cc Featured a 2009 version in which 25mm tires and above would balloon, so I was uncertain
