From N Central IL.

I am Bran. The only bike I have owed since the 80s is my (Miami Vice Blue Season One) Hard Rock by Specialized and it hasn't seen road since 2003. I am planning on spring of 2017 to be riding it again and WILL BE looking for upgrade advice as a winter project. Thanks.

Welcome. Take a look around the variety of forums. There's one for every interest.
Also, consider putting your location in your profile. It may help you in the future if someone has useful information to share.

Welcome to Bike Forums. Why wait until the spring of 2017? No time like the present to start.
