What steel frame will accept all the parts from my carbon frame?
I have a 2015 Ridley X-Night Disc 30 that's a bad ass machine, problem is, I don't rode CX and it's a full on race CX bike. I rode gravel. So, I'd like to find a steel Gravel bike that I can use all of the parts from my Ridley on. Does anyone know if there's a frame that will accept my bottom bracket, brakes, etc.......???
FYI, my bike was a demo bike for magazine editors and this is my actual bike that, was demoed by Bikeradar....

The only steel gravel bike that you can use all the parts from your Ridley on is one with the same paint scheme. It has to match the rims.

I expect the BB is 1,37x24, so Any Thing coming out of the big frame factory of Maxway Taiwan..
they make lots of brands you see around all the time ..
Why not N - 1 & N +1 sell that and buy something else .

I'd sell the bike and buy (or build) what you want.
Are those hydraulic direct mount brakes? They'll be fairly rare on older frames. Bottom bracket style? Seat post size?
You might get a builder to do a custom build for you, but it won't be cheap.
There are probably quite a few more aluminum frame bikes that would be similar.

I'll probably just, keep it and get a Cross Check. The MSRP on it was $4500. I've been trying to sell it and have found that I'd have to give it away and I'm not doing that. High end bikes are hard to sale, especially specialty bikes such as this one.

You'd just need a steel disc brake frame with geometry you like and a PF30 bottom bracket. Niner RLT maybe? Or you could go with a more commonly available threaded BB and sell your crank and buy another. Brakes are cable BB7. Nothing exotic.

I'd love to have a Niner RLT 9 steel. I'll look into that, thanks. I'd trade my Ridley for one in a heart beat.

Have you seen the new Otso Cycles Warakin stainless steel gravel bike? Frame only options available.

It's a full race CX bike. I do rode it on gravel but the geometry is very race oriented. So it's pretty sketchy on gravel. Meaning, it has a super short, tight wheelbase. Not ideal for Gravel but doable. It also only has one bottle cage mount and that's all. I also prefer steel over carbon on gravel.

Unless your main complaint is tire clearance I'd stay clear of the Cross Check/Straggler. The geometry isn't as relaxed as you probably want for gravel.

Rotor BSA30 BB's are available and are designed to work with Rotor cranks in BSA threaded bottom brackets.
Rotor BSA30 BB 68/73 Steel Black
Might want to check that it's compatible with the crank in your Ridley of course.

The RLT was the first bike that came to mind for me too, but it's built for thru axle wheels. Not a lot of steel bikes use PF30 bottom brackets. Rotor used to make a bottom bracket that they claimed worked with BSA threaded bottom brackets and 30mm cranks. I'm not sure what the availability is like.

I was somewhat concerned about relaxed geometry as well but that's not really been issued so much as the toe overlap my Ridley has and the shortness of wheelbase which makes for a very sketchy gravely bike. I can, always raise my stem for comfort. I really am not too concerned about a stopping TT which I find hideous anyway.

I was also going to recommend the Niner .
Yup. I have found that anyone who is willing to spend four or five thousand dollars on a bike usually does not want to spend that four or five thousand dollars on a bike that has already been used.

I have no idea what you are asking for it, so dont take that comment as anything more than what the first word was- perhaps.
I buy and sell on craigslist a lot and am never short of examples where sellers are completely unrealistic when it comes to valuing their own bikes.

The Cross Check is a very stable bike. I can ride mine on gravel roads with no hands. It is quick enough not to be a dull ride but the CC is not going to be "sketchy" on long gravel rides, it eats it up.

Does anyone know what All Cowell accept most if not all of my Ridley parts? The break calipers are a huge part.
