Bike Rental on a College Campus
Location is not the reason I am on this forum. I am on this forum to ask if anyone is aware is aware of a company that I can open a new location for...for example; people open McDonald's. McDonald's supplies the name and the business plan. I obviously do an analysis that should support a location...so if it doesn't then this is a moot point.
Thoughts?

You are talking about a franchise. But what is your intention? Who will your customers be? What kind of bikes will you rent? You really need to supply a few more details.

I haven't heard of anyone franchising such enterprises.
The university where I work runs a rental program in conjunction with an LBS near campus. I believe they charge $60/semester so I don't think they're making money on the operation.

Are you thinking long-term rentals like those mentioned above? Or hourly/daily rentals? Many college campuses today have Green Bike programs for short-term rentals. An example: https://urec.wsu.edu/green-bike

There are two operating models for this; bike-share and rental. Rental can be anything from hourly to daily, semester or annual.
I'm not aware of anyone offering the type of franchise you're referring to. However, I do know that this has been discussed internally by Nice Ride Minnesota and Motivate so you might want to check with both of them to see where they are at. Nice Ride operates both bike share and rental systems. Motivate is bike share but have both kiosk and kiosk-less systems.
