I'm doing this ride for the 2nd time this year. The previous one in May was a blast and a great challenge at 80km.

Any So Cal cyclists making the trip next weekend for the ride?

I keep saying and or thinking about doing this route, but I have yet to make good on that. Maybe next year...

I have not done this since the mid 80's, often felt it might be too dangerous or maybe not advisable to go. Would love to do it again. Can't believe you can enter for $42. Wow. Their insurance is not that great, $2800 coverage. If you go down, go down easy!

We've come a long ways from the 80s and there wasn't a moment I felt I was in danger during my stay in Baja California.

9/10 US medical insurance companies cover out of US and overseas emergencies. So on top if the 2800 youd be covered under your own medical insurance.
