long cages for vintage shimano rear derailleurs?

Having piles of vintage parts around, it can get confusing, and they also get gutted. While I could just get an intact long cage rear derailleur, I would like to use a vintage shimano rear derailleur, golden arrow. It had been a short cage, but the pulley wheels got used and then the short cage plates disappeared. There are long cage Golden Arrow rear derailleurs, so cage plates must exist? Or are there generic rear derailleur plates that would be compatible? I've run into this problem with campagnolo rear derailleurs.
Thanks!

There are so many good long cage shimano rear derailleurs out there, I'd just use one of them and not deal with this.
