DAHON - Change the Front wheel
Hi, I have a project to change parts of my Dahon Boardwalk S1 and I will do first the maintenance.
My spokes are rusty and some broken. So now I want to change this spokes for new ones, change the front hub to aluminum too.
I find the specification of the spokes on the website, where they say 18/8, what that means? My bike has 20' wheels.
Thank you for any help.

It might be cheaper and simpler to just buy a new wheel from Dahon - they're very reasonably priced.

Unless you have wheel building skills I would avoid doing this yourself. It involves later & radial truing, dish and spoke tensions, and requires some specialized tools like a spoke wrench among other things. I would spring for a new wheel.

You are right, can be cheaper if I buy new one or pay for change all spokes.
To change all spokes can be cost €20.00 - €30.00 here in Barcelona, and buy all material and try to change can be expensive.

If you are repairing or replacing just a few then buy a truing stand and learn from YouTube. I recently bought a quality stand for $130 on Amazon and though there is a learning curve it is very satisfying to ride on a wheel that you trued yourself. I have 7 bikes in the family so learning to DIY made sense. Once you figure it out, it's not rocket science.
