Garmin 830 connection with phone issue
I am having sporadic issues with my 830 setting up multiple profiles on my iPhone Bluetooth. Subsequently, I cannot connect between my 830 and iPhone at the start of my ride. Only way for me to fix it is to remove both 830 profiles on my phone, delete the phone on the 830 and then go back into Garmin Connect and establishing a new connection. This is a big time suck when I am trying to get on the bike ride.
Anyone know why this is happening? Any fix?

Garmin BlueTooth issues, especially with iOS devices are about the most common I see and read about.
Suggestions.
1] Update the device using Garmin Express on a PC. Sometimes the most recent OS had some unannounced fixes from Garmin
2) Update the phone to the most recent OS.
3) Do a wipe of all the BT settings for the device, Garmin Mobile app, and on the phone, I’ll list the Garmin suggested process and also state to delete the GCM app and download a new version to make sure it’s up to date.
On the newly installed GCM app, from the My Day page, select the More tab.
Select Garmin Devices in Garmin Connect Mobile
Select the Edge 1030.
Select the 3 dots on the top right and remove the device.
Remove from Bluetooth settings in your phone settings.
Remove Phone pairing from Edge
Turn off your device.
Select the More tab, on the lower right.
Select Settings.
Sign out of Garmin Connect Mobile.
Double tap the Home button on your iPhone (the round button the front) and swipe off all the applications.
Restart the phone:
Once your phone boots up turn on Bluetooth and make sure that location services are on.
Go to Connect app and sign in.
Select, Browse All Compatible Devices.
Select Edge
Select Edge 1030
Put the Edge 1030 into pairing mode.

I briefly owned a 530 and it took me hours to synch it. I never understood what I finally did right, so it wasn't repeatable. I know this reveals my incompetence but you are not alone in your difficulties. IIRC there was some Bluetooth complication, maybe that you couldn't pair directly through the phone but had to go through the app? Anyway, for that and other reasons, I returned the Garmin and got a Bolt. It took about 20 minutes to have the Bolt fully functional.
