Vitus (979?)
I've always had a thing for the Vitus frames in their wild colors, but as a Clydesdale there's not much chance I could trust a 30 year old bonded frame. Well, this one popped up locally and the 600 groupset could be a replacement for the 105 groupset on my Miyata.
There's not a lot of info to be found online to nail down the model and year from these crappy photos. Is the 979 the only bonded aluminum bike Vitus was producing in the 80s? I can narrow it down to 86-88ish based on the brakes in Velobase, anybody got a better guess? And for that matter, anybody looking for one of these retro rides?

I sold two of these and one went to a member on here. They are still popular (they have detractors) and listed as just a frame and forks on the for sale listings on the C & V forum it should sell fast.

The components are Shimano New 600EX which date 1984-1987 but the 979 frame is newer, as it has the pump peg which was introduced around 1989. I can't see if the bottle cage on the seat tube uses bosses, but they were introduced for 1986.
