Aspen and Breckenridge Colorado bike rentals
Planning a vacation and would like some recommendations for road bike rentals in Aspen and Breckenridge. Most places I've found online seem to only have e-bikes. Or are not renting due to the pandemic and a bike shortage

This places seem to be renting more than eBikes. The reservation system allows you to pick road and MTBs. But $130/day for a road bike? Geeze.

You might want to look further afield. Look at Denver rentals and/or Glenwood Springs. Canyon Bikes in Glenwood seems reasonable. Check with Rebel Sports in Frisco.
Frisco is 10 miles to the north (and downhill) from Breckenridge. There are great rides from Frisco. To the west is a ride to the top of Vail Pass (great down hill on the way back). The ride around Lake Dillon is a good ride as well. The ride from Frisco to Breckenridge is a classic with a long uphill up and a good downhill back.
There are a number of rides in the Roaring Fork Valley. The best is the ride from Aspen to Glenwood. Best downhill in Colorado at 44+ miles that requires almost no pedaling (but is faster if you pedal). You can ride the bus from Glenwood to Aspen and then head down a great ride. The bus takes about an hour and a half. I’d suggest hustling, however, because The Village Smithy closes at 2 and it’s worth the trip.
