Did something happen to the old "Attachments"?
Ok,
I know Bike Forums hasn't used the "Attachment" function for quite some time. But, the photos all remain, or at least they used to.

All my old attachments seem to show up in names, but I get a blank page when I try to open them.
This means I also get images missing from old posts.

This image should be attached.

Ok, so I refer back to old photos from time to time.

Still nothing with the old attachments.

I was looking at an older thread. It had some neat photos... but unfortunately GONE.

I usually use Firefox, but also tried with Microsoft Edge...
NOTHING

I see the same problem with Google Chrome, Firefox, and Brave. And I can no longer attach images to my posts; doing so results in "upload failed."

Yes, those are the attachments from the profile page. Can you actually open and view any of the images? For me I just get a blank page. And any page that had the old style of attachments don't show photos.
https://www.bikeforums.net/profile.p...ditattachments
It used to be that I could pull up an old image, and attach it to my message somewhat like:

And it would insert the old image into my messages.
JohnDThompson and livedarklions
Sometime around April of 2018, there was a website update. The old image management software was disabled. And, new images were moved onto https://cimg1.ibsrv.net
All of the old images remained hidden away as attachments, viewed in the old messages, or in the attachments link from the user profile above.
And all the new images were sent to user's photo albums.
For another year the old attachments still allowed being added to before being shut off from adding new ones (but still allowing old ones to be used).
In all, I had about 958 of the old style photos, and I like to refer back to them from time to time. Or, as happened yesterday, I wanted to refer to a message posted by another user in 2015.
This means that over a decade of photos attached to old messages seem to have gotten lost with the recent site update.

if you see this mine is still working as expected
lol guess not,
I get an "invalid url" msg
if I just copy/paste the url
https://www.bikeforums.net/attachmen...4&d=1523911789
it doesn't insert but you can click the link & see the image
or I'm too tired to do any of this right now. but I can certainly go back to the image & do a screen grab like this
the bonus is it's now in one of my newer 'albums"

If you go into your UserCP and change it back to Full CKEditor (and click save at the bottom of the page), it should work again
