Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Women's Bifocal Sunglasses

I am looking for sunglasses with readers on the bottom. I am looking online. Any suggestions? I prefer women specific due to sizing. Thanks

You could give this site a shot. Each frame has a sizing/specs section and look for smaller vs larger options?

I get my glasses (both regular and sunglasses) from Costco. Decent frames with good temples that work well on a bike. Latest sunglasses are bifocal Polaroids. Very nice.

I used LensCrafter for years. Costco and their associated optometrist has done me better for prescriptions and accuracy of lens grinding and cost. My eyes thank me every day.

Those are decent cycling glasses, we used to sell them in our shop. My wife still wears a pair.

I used to get my prescription glasses and sunglasses at Costco but I don't need prescription glasses anymore - I just need readers on the bottom. Is that what you are talking about? Thanks for responding.

I just get tinted safety glasses with the bifocal already on them in the strength I need. This place is where I usually get them from as they are very hard to find locally with a bifocal. safetyglassesusa.com/bifocal-safety-glasses/

They do have some safety glasses exclusively for women, but I didn't see any tinted glasses that also have a bifocal. Maybe one of the other many online safety glass vendors has a better selection.

The pro for using safety glasses is that they are so inexpensive, you don't care if you drop them and they get stepped on. I usually buy several at a time and that lasts me five or so years.

Good options above. I buy safety glasses with "cheaters". I used to buy from Amazon but haven't used Amazon for over a year since their shipping to my address became so horrible (10+ days where it used to be 3-4). I first look at Ebay or any online safety glasses vendor that seems to have what I like. I think you might have to just search for something that is touted as or appears to be, suitable for your face size.

That said, you could also find a pair of non-cheater glasses that fit you and apply a stick on bi-focal. Search for stick on reader or bifocal, there are several options and they work well in my experience.

Yes, those Dual Eyewear glasses have no correction, other than the magnifier at the bottom for reading.

I really like Readers.com Good quality, lots of styles and very good prices. I had IOL corrective lens implants during my cataract surgery and now only need readers, but I've found out it's convenient to have several strengths for different distances. With sunglasses, I guess I'm up to 7 or 8 pairs now and the average price is under $20 per pair, free shipping over $50

Thanks. That's the exact surgery I had. I will look at readers.com. I purchased some ray-ban sunglasses with readers online but I paid a fortune for them.

I've been using Readers.com for a while but I get the whole lens reading sunglasses. They vary quite a bit but most come with decent lenses. The frames fall apart after months of wearing them on the bike.

They make self-adhesive magnifier/reader inserts. Maybe you can modify your existing sunglasses.
