Suntour Power (ratcheting friction) Thumb Shifters

I really do love these old friction shiftrrs. However, I am replacing them with a slightly more modern set so that I can enjoy the option of indexed shifting.

Below are photos of the shifters as used on my Trek to help illustrate how the shifters might appear mounted on your bike. Such a classic aesthetic IMHO. A few photos of the shifters unmounted and ready to pack for shipping are included as well.

They show normal signs of average usage, and they function very well. For what it's worth, I used these successfully in a 7 speed configuration.

I think these are pre-XC. Maybe PLG-something, or a thumbie version of the power shifter?

I don't believe they're a part of the XC group. Though early XC shifters don't seem to deviate too far from the basic design.

They appear in the 1983 catalog as shown below.
