C+V beneficial Black Friday sales?

Black Friday is nigh.

I don't usually participate in such things, but I have been holding off on purchasing a couple Nitto handle bars (132 and 115) and I figure I should at least look for a deal. But that's just me.

So where are the deals this year?

Velo Orange has 20% off all items on the site. The saddles are almost 40% which is a great deal but has anyone have one already and can comment on how they are?

Problem for me is the shipping costs which counter any savings on the deal.

The shipping is not as bad as SOMA’s sale. $15 min. For a flat part!!

I bought a few of the V.O. saddles. I got the "V.O. Smooth Touring Saddle Wide" that has dimensions similar to a B-17 Brooks. I only used it for about a hundred miles so far but I like it. For a reference point I like Brooks B-17's and they are comfortable for me right out of the box and I find the V.O. comfortable as well.
I didn't see the smooth version in the recent sale, only the microfiber one, which is supposed to be more grippy. The smooth ones were on sale for $15 when I bought mine and I added enough other stuff to get free shipping.

Hobbiano, that's the price that I saw as well and thought, why not just give it a try at that price. I've not tried any of the Brooks saddles but did post a while back on people's thoughts on them and lots of mixed opinions. I appreciate your feedback on the Velo Orange saddle.

I think because I live in Canada, we have to pay duty and excise on the purchases, so it becomes more expensive. Might have a look tomorrow and see if i can buy a few other things to quality for the free shipping.

Just spent some time looking over the Performance Bike offerings. They have Kryptonite U-locks at 40% off. I don't need any more of those, and not seeing much else that knocks my socks off.

Uh oh, guess it's time to grab the (often OOS) Nitto F-18 for my Ostrich bag that I've been pining for.

I did my part to support the economy.. 365 Cycles had a good deal on 10 meters of Jagwire sterling silver brake housing, and and even better with an additional 10% off. I've kind of gone with this color for my "good bikes" .
