Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm new member 1st time posting. CONFENTE?

When I saw the spades in the lugs I immediately knew I had something because I remembered calnago had the club sign on their lugs in the '80s when I was in high school. So I looked up spaded lugs and learned all about Mr Mario Confente -what a brilliant individual with a tragic end to his robust life and what a unique talent he was.

The spades on the lugs for the frame that I own are a different shape than what you see on the show bikes on this website and elsewhere they are more narrow.

And serial # is 76L55#.

IDK what the standard format was for his frames numbers, though I've read that he only made 135

I'm looking for your input thank you Bob

Also the shape of the forks including the crown and the way the chains stay in seats stay tubes merge with the rear drop out as well as the seat post tube at the top is identical to the Confente frames online. also the cable guide for the derailleur cables as they pass by the bottom bracket are on top of the bottom bracket brazed on the top of the bottom bracket.

Wonder how long the OP has waited for April Fool's Day to arrive.

By the way - the word is "riding," "Ridding" means something else.
