Who all are teenager riders?
How much you ride a day?
How old?
Do you enjoy it?
Are you laughed at by peers?
etc.

i'm 22.. but my friend i train with quite a bit is 16.. people from his school that we often ride by laugh at him for the spandex. He enjoys it quite a bit, he wants to go to worlds in a couple of years. He's well on his way too, i have a tough time keeping up with him at times, especially hill sprints, and just regular sprints.. but he is 15 or 20 lbs lighter then me i think...

I just turned 16.
I ride a felt f90, used to almost every day during summer.
Now like every other day.
Yes, I enjoy it.
Yes, I'm laughed at.

15 Years Old

Laughed at for my Jerseys to school and biking to school.
I am a swimmer too
I may be aiming for going to the top but i dunno

1. 19
2. ride 200-300 miles a week.
3. I love it and won't trade anything for it. I more or less lost my gf because I rode too much and didn't have time for her.
4. I'm in college so most people don't care. But a lot of times, girls cheer you on while you're riding through town.

I am looked down at for spending more time on my bike than doing other things in life. Spending so many hours on a day on a bike as I do I guess people would call you crazy for doing it but I am trying to go pro and enjoy my life doing what I really love. Has anyone ever wore their jersey to school?

1. I am 16 years old
2. 10-20 miles a day...school is killing me....was more in the summer (every day during school)
3. I do enjoy it...about 70% percent of my spare time is consumed by thoughts of cycling
4. People wonder why I don't play football and I wonder why they don't ride

I DID ride every day until I was recently diagnosed with "servere" osteoporosis (awaiting doctor's approval to get back on, pending results of some tests)
I had only started riding about two weeks ago, biking 6 days a week and going anywhere from 15 to 30 miles. Riding a Trek 1000.
Previous to this, I had been a distance runner starting 5ks when I was 9 years old and running competetively since I was 13. I got into biking after a stress fracture in my lower back, which we now know was a result of my previously mentioned osteoporosis.
I have yet to see anyone I know while riding my bike, or in lycra (I differentiate for those of you who may have some lycra fettish and wear it out of saddle as well). I've had relatives who used to bike but would tell you they still do if you asked, and they are all very supportive.
In a few months, once my health issues (and probably surgery) are taken care of, I hope to get back on the bike and maybe even start racing competetively. Biking is a sport I have rapidly grown to love, and already have some overzealous goals in mind, including not only biking but placing competetively in the MS 150- 150 miles from San Antonio to Corpus Christi- and hopefully one day making some money from the sport.
Or at least I have some motivation to get back on the bike once the health issues blow over.

30-40 miles a day
I enjoy it more than everyone else thinks I should.
I only get laughed at by the people who don't ride with me! My girlfriend never stops making fun of me for it (though maybe the jabbing for my Fassa Bortello desktop background was deserved...)

What up?
-I'm fifteen
-I ride about 3-4-5 times a week. Pretty recently it has been cut off becasue of school. But I soon am getting a training schedule so im going to be riding probably every day, with 1 or two rest days.
-YES, aawww hell yes I love it.
-Yes I am laughed at. But screw them! They're jealous. Heres my view. You know how everyone is like you wear spandex?!?! well think about it for a second. We are not the only kind that where spandex. Ever seen wrestling? they wear spandex, and they also rub against sweaty guys! Also have you seen crew? they wear spandex, so EAT THAT between two slices of whole wheat bread!
![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
-My rides var in milage. During the weekends every sunday I ride with my club and get in 30-50 miles. During the weeks about 15-25 miles. But as I said that is going to be changing.
During my ride today I caught up to these two older ladies near the end of my ride and the convo went like
lady "isnt this just a great day!"
me "Yah"
lady "where did you ride"
me *ok yes I was kind of showing off
![Smilie](images/smilies/smile.gif)
lady "wow"
lady "how old are you"
me "fifteen"
lady "very cool! good job!"
lady "how far did you go?"
me "about 37 miles so far"
Lady "wow very nice!"
there was more but not much, It made me happy that I shocked them at how young and how far
went

I'm 16
Just started riding 2 weeks ago(other than casual short rides)
Ride a Flyte SRS-2 paid for with my summer earnings from caddying
I ride 3 days a week, roughly 100km/week at this point
Planning to do 2 100+km rides before winter
I get laughed at, but not bad, just wait to ski season when everyone else is dying and I'm hardly out of breath
I plan on doing the leg shaving thing soon just for the WTF?!?! factor at school.
I love it, not as much as skiing, but it beats golf alright.
