First Ride, New Neighborhood
So we recently moved to the far side of the Salt Lake valley, largely because I wanted to be in a more bicycle friendly area. (some here made fun of me for this kind of thinking). I haven't ridden at all in the last three weeks while moving, but last night the temps were hovering at a delightful 80-degrees and I couldn't take it anymore. I had to, just had to go out for a ride.
I felt a lot better than I thought I would after three weeks away, and even though it was the first time out in the new 'hood', it was great! Bicycles were everywhere, so I wasn't a novelty like I was in my old 'hood' and so I was basically totally left alone by the auto-drivers, and a couple actually even, get this, smiled and nodded at me in intersectios!! It was awesome! And did I say there were bikes everywhere and almost all of them waved! That never happened before! I wandered around and got in just under 20 miles and felt great!
But 8 out of 10 of the bikes I saw were Bianchi's. Is there something I'm missing? Whats the deal with Bianchi?
