converting Campagnolo Record track hub to Quick Release...?
I am told the front hub could easily be converted to a quick release using a Record road axle and QR. Is it true? If so where (online?) should I start looking for a Record hollow axle? Does it have to be a "Record" axle specifically... Or does someone have a spare one they would sell me... Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I don't know which record hub you have, but I have a Nuovo Record track hubset with trashed front cones and I found a replacement axle set for a reasonable price on ebay after having little luck getting replacements here in Oz.
The seller is "wwcyclery", he doesn't have any rears listed right now, just front road&track axle sets, drop him a message and see if there's any stock.

Just drill a hole through the center of the axle! Actually why do this? If you're running the track nuts in back you still have to carry a wrench with you. If you just have an odd hub and need a road hub I'm sure somebody would swap, as track stuff is a bit scarcer. But to answer your question, any older Campy front axle will work. I think Loose Screws has complete ones with all the hardware.
